We understand that schedules can change. To ensure we can continue to provide care to all of our patients, we kindly ask that any appointment changes are made with at least 48 hours’ business notice. As our clinic operates Monday to Thursday, this timeframe relates to our business days. Please note that if an appointment is missed without notice (failure to attend), we may be unable to offer a further appointment or rebook you in the future.
Cancellation Fee Breakdown
Late cancellations or missed appointments will incur a fee as outlined below:
Hygienist Appointments
Rate: $200 per hour
Cancellation within 48 hours: 50% of appointment fee
Same-day cancellation or Failure to Attend (FTA): 100% of appointment fee
Dentist Appointments
Rate: $300 per hour
Cancellation within 48 hours: 50% of appointment fee
Same-day cancellation or Failure to Attend (FTA): 100% of appointment fee
Fee Calculation Formula:
Rate × Appointment Length × Fee %
Examples:
Hygienist (1 hour), cancelled the day before:
$200/hr × 1 hr × 50% = $100 cancellation fee
Dentist (30 minutes), cancelled on the day:
$300/hr × 0.5 hr × 100% = $150 cancellation fee
Our late cancellation and failure-to-attend fees are intended to help offset the cost of lost clinical time. If a fee is formally disputed and requires administrative review, a $40 administration fee may be applied to cover the additional time and resources involved.
All accounts are required to be paid in full on the day of appointment unless prior arrangements have been made with the clinic. Where payment is not made before leaving the clinic, a $25 administration fee may be added to the outstanding balance.
